Who can get Free Tax Preparation and the Earned Income Credit?

You may have extra money waiting for you with the Earned Income Tax Credit.

  •  Taxpayers with an AGI of $66,000 or less can get Free Tax Preparation
  •  Families meeting additional requirements are eligible for a credit of up to $6,318

If you or someone you know have 3 or more children and less than $48,340 ($53,930 if married filing jointly) in adjusted gross income, check it out. Use the EITC Assistant and answer questions about yourself and other family members to see if you qualify and estimate the amount of your credit. EITC eligibility depends on several factors, including income and family size. If you don’t have a qualifying child and earned under $20,600, find out if you qualify for a smaller credit.
